The short version: NO. Budget collects the minimum data needed to run the app. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your savings history belongs to you.
Who we are
NO. Budget is a personal savings tracking app built for individuals and couples. The app is operated by an independent developer. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at cklok5174@gmail.com.
What information we collect
When you use NO. Budget, we collect the following:
- Google account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google. We use this to identify your account.
- Savings entries — the amounts, categories, and notes you log when you say NO to a purchase. This is the core data of the app.
- Household data — if you create or join a shared household, we store the household membership and invite code.
- Goals and reactions — savings goals you create and emoji reactions you send to your partner's entries.
We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other device data. We do not collect financial account information or link to your bank.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect solely to operate the app:
- To identify your account and keep your data separate from other users
- To sync your savings entries with your partner in real time
- To calculate your streaks, stats, and achievements
- To process your one-time payment for premium features via Stripe
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating NO. Budget.
How we store your information
Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. NO. Budget never sees or stores your card number, bank account, or any financial credentials. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited cases:
- Your household partner — if you join a shared household, your display name, savings entries, and reactions are visible to other members of that household. This is the core feature of the app.
- Service providers — Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting) process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Your rights and choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — you can view all your saved data in the app at any time
- Deletion — you can delete individual entries in the History tab. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at cklok5174@gmail.com
- Export — premium users can export their savings history as a CSV
- Leave a household — you can leave a shared household at any time in Settings
Children's privacy
NO. Budget is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
